KEYNOTE SPEAKER

"Breaking Money Silence®: How to Shift Your Mindset, Boost Your Confidence, and Engage in Better Planned Giving Conversations"
The great wealth transfer is underway with approximately 84 trillion being passed down to the next generation in the coming years. To capture this valuable source of funding, organizations need to be proactively discussing planned giving with current and future donors. Doing so can be challenging as there is a lingering taboo against talking about money and wealth known in our society.

In this opening session, learn why money silence is so prevalent, how it impacts planned giving conversations and legacy planning, and what actions you and your organization can take to become more comfortable and successful initiating these important dialogues.

"Break Your Money Silence: 5 Tenets for Healthy Money Talk"
Set your organization up for success by learning the 5 tenets for healthy money talks and how to apply these techniques to your work with current and future donors. Discover a simple tool for managing difficult feelings when they arise and strategies to put donors more at ease when discussing estate and legacy planning. Through discussions and experiential exercises, you will not only get a chance to put what you learned in the morning session into practice, but also walk away with a concrete plan for how to incorporate these tactics into your fundraising strategy.

PG 102 Part 1:
“Practical Planned Giving: Understanding the Basics You Need to Succeed”

When people talk about planned giving vehicles, does it sound like they are speaking a different language?  Have you ever gotten lost in planned giving acronyms (CRUT, CGA, CLAT, etc.)?  This session will provide a brief overview of the major planned giving vehicles and the best ways to use each vehicle.  Please join us and buckle up for a speedy trip through the world of planned giving. We'll also cover major tax implications and current trends.

PG 102 Part 2:
“Interactive Workshop: Helping Your Donor Find the Best Option for Them”

We'll apply what we learned in the morning session to hypothetical and not so hypothetical donor scenarios, practicing approaches for supporting your donors in planned giving. Together, we'll identify the planned giving vehicles you need to grow your planned giving program and learn how to effectively share these vehicles with your donors.
